Math 3 Honors Construction Project

Our First Math 3 Honors Project----Yippee!!

This project involves your demonstration of geometric constructions. A list of constructions and their step by step instructions for completing them are found on this link ----> Click on this link to find a list of constructions and their step by step instructions.

It is worth two grades: one test grade and will be based upon accuracy of the construction itself and the other is a quiz grade qhich will be based upon neatness, color, creativity, correct and clear labels on each construction. You must number each construction and provide an index of the constructions used.

Since you may work with in a group the number of constructions are variable. If you work alone you must do 7 constructions, in a group of two people you must complete 12, or in a group of three you must complete 15 constructions. You will need to get your  list of constructions approved by me before October 15, I suggest you do them on white paper and then cut them down to fit on a poster.

For the creative part, choose a theme like hunting, halloween or a season. It will make the creative piece a lot easier. Be sure to include your name(s), an index of constructions, and labels. You may stay afterschool and use the class compasses.

Parents & Students please understand the due date is a no later than date. That is, no assignment will be accepted after 3pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Therefore it is suggested that each student get their project turned in by Friday, 24 October 2014. Illness and/or absence will not be an acceptable reason to turn this project in late given that students have three weeks to complete this. Any projects not received by that Friday, will require me to call parents and notify  them of you/your group's progress.

Questions: See me in class.

Have fun!
