Exam schedule repeats the following week for EOC makeups/retests.

Right Triangles

Thursday is the Right triangles test.
Circle Vocabulary is due the same day.

Exam schedule:
Period 1: June 1   Friday
Period 3: May 29 Monday
Period 4: May 30 Tuesday

Mrs. Mask has graciously scheduled us for a second day with mobile lab. Please bring your project work on.

Bring your digital pictures to class on Monday. We will be working on your poweropnt presentations in class that day. You may turn in a copy of your presentation early. Reminder: No projects will be accepted after May 2.

April 23 - 27

Monday you have two quizzes: Geometric mean and special parallelograms
Thursday is your test on similar polygons.

We will be working on powerpoint presentations on Monday. bring digital photos to work on in class.

Upcoming Assignments

 Quiz on special parallelograms moved to Monday. Bring your graphic organizer to use for the quiz.
Monday: Quiz on geometric means.
Thursday: Test on Similarity.

Project is due: Wednesday, 2 May 2012. If you finish early you may turn it in early. I encourage you to do just that.

Semester Project

This semester's project will be to find geometry in the world around you. I suggest you use a phone or camera to take pictures during your spring break. Send them to your email account and one day after break we'll go the computer lab where you can create a powerpoint presentation showing the connections between your pictures and geometry.

I'll post the actual requirements by the end of spring break. Enjoy your vacation!

Week before spring break

Monday have your homework
Quiz next Tuesday on factoring binomials.
Quiz or test on parallelograms, trapezoids, kites and triangles inequalities on Wednesday.
Notebook Check for periods 3 & 4 are Thursday.

Proof Test

I think we are on track for a proof test at the end of the week. We'll confirm on Friday.
There will be six proofs on the test. You get credit for each statement and reason that is iciorrect. In order to grade the proofs you wil lhave to mark each picture or I will skip grading the proof.

Upcoming Tests!!!!!

On Monday is your logic test. You need to know how to put  a statement in conditional form and then convert it to the inverse, converse and contrapositive. You need to know truth values and what a biconditional is and how it's represented with logic symbols. Know the logic symbols for each type of conditional statement.

On Tuesday is the vocabulary test. So not only is your vocabulary due but you have a test on it that same day.

Bring colored pencils.

Busy Week

Tuesday: ACT day. I'll see you Wednesday.
Tuesday night is parent conference night, please bring your parents!
Wednesday - Friday we will be quizzing on angles of a polygon and moving into the next chapter of proving triangles congruent.
I'll have a link with practice proofs for you to try. They are interactive. Look for them on Wednesday.
New Vocabulary will be assigned at the end of the week.

This is where you can check for your homework, tutorials and cool geometry links.

This week

Students who are absent must keep in mind they are required to be in attendance as per the student handbook.

All textbooks need to be returned by Friday and lockers cleaned out by Monday.

Exam News

You may take your vocabulary cards into the exam with you. You may turn them in Monday and I will return them to you on the day of the exam. I will be checking to make sure there are no "cheat sheets" included.

You are not required to use them.

Also please bring a calculator with you, nothing more sophisticated than a TI-84+. NO devices or phones that have access to internet may be used in place of a calculator.Update: I will have a class set of calculators for you to use on exam day.

I will not post exam grades until January 20, you will get the results on your report card. No exceptions.
