Polar Graphs

This is a picture of the Northen Lights from Anchorage, Alaska. The dust in the earth's atmosphere gets electrically charged and is carried toward the magnetic pole. It is their movement along the lines of the magnetic field which we see as the Northern Lights.

I started a new list of useful links for our work with polar graphs. Thevery first one is of polar graph paper. If you need some you can click on this link. Just tell it to mark degrees or radians and to print a black image, then click download. You can find the print command under "file". This will make sense when you open the page.
